We might even go so far to say that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is the iPad Killer because the smaller portable form factor makes it easier manage for on the go use. To give you the quick specifications the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a dual-core processor running at 1.4GHz, 1GB of memory and support for 32GB MicroSD cards, a 5100mAh battery good for to 10 hours of video, a front-facing 2-megapixel camera and rear-facing 3-megapixel camera with an LED flash, support for 802.11 a standards at both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It measures 196.7x133x 7.89mm and weighs 335g. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is an interesting device because it is a hybrid as it also offers phone features, like the Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with HSPA+ 21 Mbps mobile network technology so you can be sure to access quick internet and make voice and video calls.

    This was suppose to compete with the iPad 2. I'm sure Samsung will eventually release another tablet which will be equally better than the iPad 3.

    Buys not steals. I'm sure Samsung aren't stupid, they have reasons for selling to Apple otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.

    I am interested in it because of it's size. I wanted bigger than my HTC mob. but smaller than the ipad. I just want to be able to check my mail, do banking and check out a few sites with a decent sized but compact screen, that will easily fit in my bag. I have seen so much of the ipad it is nice seeing something different. I have always thought Samsung was a good brand and good competition for the apple ipad :))

    @Minipcpro, I can't agree with you more on the darn location of the power button... which I have discovered as a bluddy nuisance since I first bought my Galaxy S2 and thereafter, faced the same aggro on the Galaxy S Mp4 WiFi 5,0 unit...aaaarghhh!!! With large palms like mine, they must have miniscule thumbs & fingers in Korea I must say... :((( But thanks alot for the review coz I'm in no hurry for a tablet so will wait for the R&D to improve common sense designing on locating the buttons soon.

    the LTE version from verizon in the U.S. i guess cant call or text but the international model which is the tab 7.7 3G P6800 is capable of texting and calling.

    normal usb inport? dont understand that one... and if the ICS update will be available which i highly doubt would be available anytime soon, you just need to download it in the tablet more like an over the air update.

    Does it have phone functionality? Some says it doesn't but some also says that it has. I really want to know because I want a tablet who can serve as a phone at the same time...

    Actually Apple stole most of it's idea from LG. All all of Apple's product is based on the LG Prada that came out in 2006.
