Tablets, I hope, will be used in the future as the Padd's used in Star Trek TNG, cheap items with good software that people pass between them and that can be kept in a small pile on the induction pad equipped sideboard in the living room to be used as needed. The iPad has indeed helped technology along. However, as for competition as the current flurry of patent lawsuits proves... its going to be a messy business. These patent disputes and big companies like apple being litigious could stifle innovation expecially in smaller companies. Don't ask me what the solution is however. Without patents, companies would not spend the money on R&D like they do.

Do you know or are you guessing? There are many programs that do similar things like dreamweaver etc. Just thought they'd use something like that and save many, many man-hours...
